Our China Silk Road journey was the high light of this trip to Xin Jiang province. Just imagine how excited it is to face a vast desert full of sand and nothing but sand. During the journey, l enjoyed most was to experience the three wheel scrambler ride on the desert slope driven by this young rider, an unlicensed racer who almost make me and my wife's hearts pop out of our mouth. I can only compare it on the F1 race track driven by a young unlicensed racer on a three wheel scrambler. But the sunset on top of the desert peak was most fascinating of all. The feeling of the sand under our feet was another crazy feeling which l can't find suitable words to describe. It was a cool feeling that gave your feet a soothing feeling while your feet slowly sink into the fine sand. Sorry, it was evening then at 9.00 pm. If it is at noon just imagine how hot the sand would be, which is at least over 40 degrees above the normal temperature. Another excitement was to go on a camel ride round the desert slope. It was a fantastic scenery with over 500 camels waiting to cart the passengers in a group of five each team with one leader followed by four others. It was a 'follow the leader rule', that is if the leader stop or kneel down, the rest must follow. But mine you, don't make your camel angry, it will spit on you. I saw an incident myself. Here are a few snap shots taken at the Kumtag Desert Resort.
